City auction
The City of West Des Moines recently approved its public works department to hold an auction of surplus city equipment on Saturday, June 4 at the public works building. The sale has an approximate revenue of $10,000 to the general fund. The total proceeds of last year's sale were $14,210.50 with $693.56 in expenses — $257.20 was paid back to the City of Waukee and $13.65 to the Water Works, with a total revenue of $12,246.08.
