The one hit wonder?
Is our country better off today under the leadership of President Barack Obama
than it was a few years ago? With gas prices creeping up to $4 per gallon,
more than 6.1 million people out of work for more than 27 weeks, and our country
seemingly in the midst of a third war, even the most ardent Obama supporters
are left scratching their heads, still searching for the hope and spirit of
change that was to replace the desperation of the George W. Bush years.
Maybe Hillary Clinton was right about Obama after all. With the president's
approval rating at 42 percent and Clinton's at an all-time high of 66 percent,
her supporters are pushing her to resign her post as Secretary of State and
challenge the sitting president in the Democratic primary for 2012. Time
will tell.
Meanwhile, we take a look at the Obama presidency in this week's cover story,
sharing a factual journey through his first— and quite possibly only — presidential
term.
