Tales of two presidents
President George W. Bush left us all scratching our heads from time to time during his eight years in the oval office. And President Obama is certainly not living up to the hype that surrounded him during his campaign, at least not so far. Time will tell how these two most recent presidents will be remembered. But simply mention the names Richard Nixon or Ronald Reagan and comments follow quickly, regardless of whether or not the people making them were alive during their terms as president or not.
Much can be learned from both of these presidents, and much has also been forgotten. Freelance writer Douglas Burns takes us on a walk down memory lane with his visits to the presidential libraries of Nixon and Reagan in the pages of this week’s cover story, sharing facts and stories that may change your opinions on these two men. Maybe.
