Fun for the whole family

Get ready for the largest kids' event in Iowa, as KidsFest takes over the Varied Industries Building on the Iowa State Fairgrounds March 4-6. All proceeds from the event will go to Children & Families of Iowa, which benefits at-risk kids and their families. The fun, wholesome event includes more than 100 vendors as well as inflatables, stage shows, a video gaming area, grocery store, fingerprint picture ID cards, games, crafts and more. Eat and drink with the creators

Living History farms will hold a Beer 'n' Bread event on Saturday, March 5 from 3 to 6 p.m. Attendees will be able to sample more than 30 Iowa micro-brewed beers and chat with the creators from breweries including Court Avenue, Millstream, Madhouse, Olde Main and Peace Tree, as well as home brews from the Iowa Brewers Union and Beer Crazy. Along with beer, sample artisan bread from South Union Bakery, Great Harvest Bakery, The Beer Bread Company, La Mie Bakery and cheese from Cabot Creamery.
