Have a few laughs

Local comedy troupe Banana Punch will celebrate its second anniversary at the Rex Mathes Auditorium, 1401 Vine St., West Des Moines, on Saturday, Feb. 26. They’ll be unveiling a new sketch show entitled “A Very Special Presidents Day Special.” The group is described as a smart, surprising, laugh-out-loud comedy influenced by Carol Burnett, “SCTV” and any number of garden-variety knuckleheads. The event starts at 7:30 p.m., and tickets are $10. Visit www.bananapunchcomedy.com for more information.
