Minneapolis pop-rock guitarist G.B. Leighton returns to People’s Court on Friday, Feb. 18 at 9 p.m. Tickets are $8 through Midwestix.

Stellar Road, Struttin’ Jimmy, Jacob and the Damaged Goods and Punching Betty play Friday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. at the House of Bricks. Tickets are $10 through Midwestix. ... In other HOB news, Tepecity (Tuesday, Feb. 22, $8) and the “Medicine Bag Tour” featuring Agony of Defeat (Wednesday, Feb. 23, $10) play all-ages shows at 5 p.m.

’80s pop-rockers Loverboy play 7 Flags Event Center on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 8 p.m. KISS tribute band Psycho Circus opens. Tickets are $25-$35 through greatticketsnow.com and the box office. ... In other 7 Flags news, “Country Spring Break!” featuring Jerrod Niemann, Josh Gracin, Steve Holy, Lee Brice, Thompson Square and Sunny Sweeney, rolls in March 16. Tickets are $15.

Homegrown Tomatoes, a local Americana duo featuring Bill Melton and Stephen Hines, play Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Botanical Center’s “Botanical Blues” series. Admission is $5.

The Greater Des Moines Community Jazz Center’s monthly jazz band show at Java Joes will be held Sunday, Feb. 20 from 2 to 4 p.m. Admission is free.

Anja McCloskey and the Seedlings play a free show on Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. at Mars Cafe.

All Shall Perish, Decrepit Birth, Conducting From the Grave, Abysmal Dawn and Curse of Hail play an all-ages show on Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 5 p.m. at the Vaudeville Mews. Tickets are $12 through Midwestix.

Pop-country duo Joey & Rory play two shows each night at Terrible’s Lakeside Casino, March 25-26. Tickets are $30.

Queens of the Stone Age will play their 1998 debut album in its entirety (and more) at the Val Air Ballroom on April 4. Tickets are $20 through Ticketmaster.

Two guitarists who frequently played Blues on Grand return to Des Moines on April 15 to play at rock clubs. Ronnie Baker Brooks plays the House of Bricks and Eric Sardinas plays the Bombay Bicycle Club. Tickets TBA.

LAZERFEST 2011 will be held May 15 at the Indianola Balloon Grounds and feature two main stages. Bands booked to play the fest thus far include Stone Sour, Avenged Sevenfold, Three Days Grace, Seether, Queensryche, Bullet for My Valentine and My Darkest Days. Tickets are $37 through Ticketmaster.

Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Doobie Brothers will play Aug. 16 at the Iowa State Fair Grandstand. Tickets are $46. Incidentally, Pollstar lists the Georgia Satellites as playing the fair that day, too. CV
