Oct. 9, 6:15 p.m.
Fire investigation in the 4100 block of Colfax Avenue. The victim stated he was home and noticed there were flames coming from his garage. The victim went next door to call 911 and while doing so he heard and saw four or five explosions. The victim said he had propane tanks in the garage but didn’t know what could have caused the initial fire. There are no suspect(s) at this time.
Oct. 10, 1 to 2:15 a.m.
Assault in the 400 block of Walnut Street. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim’s wife who stated that her husband was assaulted downtown behind the Kirkwood Hotel. The victim was lying on the floor in the doorway of the back entrance. The victim stated two or three white males wearing all black shirts and skinny jeans jumped him. The victim was hit on the right side of his face with an object. Officers were unable to locate any of the suspects.
Oct. 11, 7 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
Burglary in the 200 block of Southeast Leland Avenue. The victim returned home and found the back door of her residency unlocked. There doesn’t appear to be any signs of forced entry. The suspect(s) appeared to take a watch, gold chain, two Xbox systems, 15 video games and video gaming accessories, valued at more than $2,500. Officers were unable to locate the suspect(s). CV

E. Accused second-degree theft and assault use or display of a dangerous weapon.
F. Accused of possession with intent to deliver schedule II narcotics – methamphetamine and failure to affix drug tax stamp.
