what's inside

Can you smell it?

It is sensory overload time. As the seasons change and fall peeks its way around the corner, you know exactly what I mean.

Each Iowa season brings its own array of sights, smells and sounds, but none compare to fall. Yes, winter provides that crisp air and a blanket of clean snow to play in. Spring brings everything alive with budding trees and colorful flowers. Summer offers blazing heat to those whose skin can bear it and air conditioning for the rest of us. But fall is the season me, as this season brings the smell of cooler air, burning leaves and burgers on the grill. It’s the time for football, bonfires, festivals and strolls outside. It’s homecoming, Halloween, hiking and a few last hurrahs before the holiday season begins. Nothing beats fall.

So break out the blue jeans, sweatshirts and jackets. Fall will be here before you know it, and we are here again to provide you with our Falls Arts & Entertainment Guide. Inside you can read page after page of things to keep you busy during the next few months. Whether it’s live music, theater, film or the great outdoors, you will find plenty to do right here in central Iowa.

Thanks for reading. CV
