Travel
The Des Moines City Council recently approved $1,505 for Rev. Irvin Lewis, Sr., police chaplain, to attend the 2010 International Conference of Police Chaplains in Sacramento, Calif., from July 12 to 17. The conference will provide instruction and education on the role of the Police Chaplain inside the Police Department organization. The amended budget for travel for the 2010 fiscal year is $635,499.
