Midwest Cage Championships 26: “Triple Crown” will take place Friday, April 16 at the Iowa Events Center, 730 Third St. The evening begins at 7:30 p.m. and will feature three five-round title fights and nine additional bouts. Relays Parade
scheduled for Saturday
The Annual Drake University Relays Parade will be held Saturday, April 17 at 2 p.m. The parade starts at 24th Street and University Avenue and will include the Isiserettes Drill and Drum Corps, cars, floats and much more. If interested in participating in the parade, e-mail relays@drake.edu.
SIFE to visit Jasper Winery
The first-ever SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) in Iowa Expo will take place Saturday, April 17 at Jasper Winery, 2400 George Flagg Parkway. Beginning at noon, Expo teams from universities from around Iowa will showcase their projects and activities. Keynote speakers include Tony Dickinson, vice president and marketing manager at Wells Fargo, and Larry Mersereau, author of “Stand Out.” General admission is free and VIP seating is available for $25. Run from the courthouse
Equal Justice Works, a student organization at Drake University Law School, will host its fourth annual Court to Court 5K on Saturday, April 17. The 5K race and walk begins at 9 a.m. at the Polk County Courthouse. The race benefits Iowa Legal Aid, an organization that helps underprivileged Iowans obtain access to legal advice and counsel. Celebrate Earth Day
