‘Bounce Shot’
Directed by Sean Anders
Rated R, 94 minutes
After years of kids playing in frat houses and bars, the sport of Beer Pong finally hits the big screen in “Bounce Shot.” Jimbo (Darin Brooks), Sock (Jay Baruchel), Shaggy (T.J. Miller) and Pubes (Charlie Day) are four of the finest beer pong players the University of Southern Iowa has ever seen. After “the greatest party ever” destroys the inside of their fraternity house, the four take their pong skills on the road to the National Beer Pong Championships in Las Vegas and win the $100,000 prize. Along the way, they cross paths with a few farmers’ daughters, a gang of skinhead methamphetamine makers, the Russian mafia and other teams heading for the glory. “Bounce Shot” is tear-inducing funny and many of the lines will be quoted on college campus for years to come. ‘George Washington: Werewolf Hunter’
Directed by John McTiernan
Rated R, 101 minutes
Before he was the father of our country, George Washington was feared by something worse than the British — werewolves. Around 1750, numerous deaths were happening across Virginia. People believed they were animal attacks, due to the shredded remains. But one man, Lord Falfax (Michael Madsen), knew it was something different and called upon a young sharpshooter in the local militia named George Washington (Josh Holloway). Washington and Onacona (Eddie Spears), his Native American sidekick, head out on the hunt. When they discover a secret colony of werewolves, and the silver bullets start flying. Not only is “George Washington: Werewolf Hunter” filled with gore and colonial nudity, it’s an action-packed thrill ride from start to finish. CV
