Edge Life Expos and Events will present the third Annual Iowa Holistic Expo on Saturday, March 13 and Sunday, March 14 at the Polk County Convention Center, 501 Grand Ave. The event will feature more than 100 holistic exhibitors, and special keynote speakers. Charity auction scheduled for Saturday
The Des Moines Junior Women’s Club 38th Annual Charity Auction will be held Saturday, March 13 at the Stoney Creek Inn, 5291 Stoney Creek Court in Johnston. The event, which begins at 6:30 p.m., will raise money for Des Moines’ The Free Store, Youth Emergency Services and Shelter, along with scholarships for two local students. Pageant seeking married women
The 2010 Mrs. Iowa United States Pageant is seeking married women to participate in its pageant slated for May 22 in Lakeville, Minn. The new state titleholder will serve as a representative for married women in Iowa by forging alliances with charitable organizations and civic groups. Mrs. Iowa United States will also advance to compete in the national pageant in Las Vegas on July 22. Eligible women must be married, at least 21 years old and have lived or worked in Iowa.
