LHF to host ‘Beer ‘N Bread’ event
Living History Farms, 11121 Hickman Road, will host “Beer ‘N Bread” on Saturday, March 6. The event runs from 3 to 6 p.m., and guests will have the opportunity to sample central Iowa micro and home brews, locally baked artisan breads and speak with members of the Iowa Brewers Union. Young professionals meeting scheduled
Cabaret West Glen, 560 S. Prairie View Drive, will host its first New View Young Professionals Sign Up Rally on Wed., March 10 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Membership is free for individuals ages 20 to 35. The event is a way to connect with other young professionals in a nontraditional way to improve and develop professional and personal skills. All members who sign up will be entered to win a trip to Las Vegas for two.

Register for women’s luncheon


The Des Moines Pastoral Counseling Center’s “Women Helping Women” luncheon will take place March 12 at the Sheraton West Des Moines, 1800 50th St., in West Des Moines. The event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will raise awareness of the Center’s work for women struggling with the challenges of life and also help subsidize counseling for low-income women and girls.
