Feb. 21-22, unknown time
Burglary in the 1300 block of Broad Street. The victim stated he spent the night at his sister’s house and when he returned to his residence the next day from work, the door was kicked in and the house had been ransacked. It appeared that nothing was taken. Officers were unable to locate the suspect(s).
Feb. 22, 5:27 p.m.
Burglary in the 1900 block of Francis Avenue. Upon arrival, an officer met with the victim who stated her car had been parked in her brother’s garage for quite some time, but when she arrived to get the car, she found it to be stripped and have approximately $1,700 damage to it. The victim reported she believes her brother knows who is responsible for the actions, but the brother denies any involvement. Both the victim and the brother do not know when the incident happened. There was no forced entry to the garage. Officers were unable to locate the suspect(s).
Feb. 22, 8:20 p.m.
Domestic assault in the 6600 block of Urbandale Avenue. Upon arrival, officers met with the reporting person who stated the male suspect was drunk and had put his hands on the female victim. The victim and the suspect are married. The reporting person said the couple had been arguing and that the suspect had grabbed the victim’s face to force her to look at him while he yelled at her. The suspect then told officers the two were arguing over financial problems. Officers were unable to see any visible injuries on either party. CV
Busted
Name: Terry Lee Hochmuth
The story: Officers were dispatched on a reference of a male, later identified as Hochmuth, panhandling in the parking lot of Central City Liquors, 1460 2nd Ave. The reporting person stated Hochmuth is at the business almost every night and bothering customers for money and cigarettes. The reporting person says Hochmuth ducks into alleys before police can find him. Officers located Hochmuth at the intersection of 2nd Avenue and University Avenue, and he was arrested and taken to the Polk County Jail. Hochmuth was charged with soliciting on private property.
