The Civic Center of Greater Des Moines and Prairie Meadows are teaming up to present a series of concerts at the Temple for Performing Arts entitled “Live at the Temple.” The line-up includes Bruce Robison and Mark Stuart (March 25), The Holmes Brothers (May 1), Carrie Rodriguez and Jim Lauderdale (May 15) and Greg Brown (June 5). Tickets to all four concerts ($125) are available through the Civic Center.

Kerri Noble, whose music has been featured on “Grey’s Anatomy,” performs with Roxi Copland on Friday, Feb. 26 at 8:30 p.m. at the Des Moines Social Club. The show is part of Copland’s Calliope Concert Series. Tickets are $5.

The Civic Music Association hosts a concert by chamber group The Poulenc Trio on Friday, Feb. 26 at 7:30 p.m. at Drake University’s Sheslow Auditorium. Tickets are $8 - $35. Call 280-4020 or visit IowaTix.com.

Brittany Shane, whose songs were featured in the award-winning independent film “The Village Barbershop,” perfoms an all-ages show at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28 at the Vaudeville Mews. Admission is $5.

The Sick Puppies play an all-ages show at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28 at People’s Court. Tickets are $15 through IowaTix.

100 Monkeys performs Tuesday, March 2 at 6 p.m. for all-ages. Tickets are $13 through IowaTix.com.

The Black Belt Tour featuring Toki Wright (Rhymesayers), Haziq Ali and Omaur Bliss stops at the Vaudeville Mews on Wednesday, March 3 at 6 p.m. Tickets are $7 and Maxilla Blue opens the show.

Local blues bands that wish to enter the 2010 Iowa Blues Challenge have until March 6 to do so. Details are available at www.cibs.org.

Lazer 103.3 announced the line-up for its annual concert, Lazerfest,happening on May 16 at the Indianola Balloon Grounds. Godsmack and Three Days Grace headline the show along with Rob Zombie, Stone Sour, Seether, Hell Yeah, Five Finger Death Punch and Skillet. This year, the show features two stages, with tickets for Lazer’s Total News and Access email club members go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster. Tickets ($35) for everyone else go on sale Friday, March 5.

Renowned bass-baritone opera singer and Iowa native Simon Estes will perform March 12 at 7 p.m. at Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines. Tickets are $12.50 and $17.50 for adults and $7.50 for students and can be purchased online at www.hopewdm.org/concerts. Proceeds benefit scholarships created by Simon Estes Educational Foundation.

Three shows coming to 7 Flags Events Center include Bret Michaels of Poison on March 20 ($20), Willie Nelson on March 28 ($38 and $48) and Jack Ingram on April 8 ($10). Call Ticketmaster for tickets.

First Fleet Concerts has announced a batch of new shows. They include: OneRepublic and The Rocket Summer on March 22 ($25) and Manchester Orchestra and Thrice on April 25 ($18) at People’s Court; Angels & Airwaves and Say Anything on April 15 ($25) and Owl City with Lights on May 4 ($25) at the Val Air Ballroom; and Set Your Goals, Comeback Kid and Title Fight on April 25 ($13) at the Vaudeville Mews.
