Multi-platinum, pop-country music singer Jo Dee Messina brings her “Music Room Series” to Prairie Meadows’ Events Center for a concert on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 8 p.m. Messina will field questions and requests from the audience, as well as talk about the stories behind her hit songs on a stage that is designed to resemble the music room at her home. The House of Bricks’ annual “Petapalooza” Animal Rescue League fundraiser will be held Saturday, Feb. 13. Participating bands include Tom Brighton, P58, Blutiger Fluss, Tyke, By It’s Right Name, Monday Mourners, The Manics, Andy Fish, Buster and the Punks and more. Fans under 21 will be admitted from 5 to 9 p.m., though the event will continue until the bar closes. The Des Moines Music Coalition announced that the 5th Annual Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will take place on Saturday, March 27 at All Play, 615 3rd St. This is the first year the GDP will take place at All Play which will feature two stages and 10 to 15 bands from a wide variety of genres. Expect a line-up announcement in the next few weeks.
