DMACC to offer free tax income help
Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Urban Campus is offering free income tax help each Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. through April 15. The service offers free tax assistance to those with low-to-moderate incomes (less than $49,000 in annual personal income). Participants should bring their W-2 forms, interest statements from banks (1099 forms), copies of last year’s federal and Iowa tax returns and social security cards for all family members. DMPS budget meetings scheduled
Des Moines Public Schools will hold a series of community forums to discuss next year’s budget beginning Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. at the Central Campus Boardroom, 1800 Grand Ave. Other forum dates include Feb. 11, 18, 23 and 25.
