The Des Moines City Council recently approved $2,718 for Denise Schafnitz, senior police officer, to attend a Child Forensic Interview Clinic from March 7 to 12 in Virginia Beach, Va. Participants will learn state-of-the-art forensic interview theory, research and techniques, which will make the officer better prepared to explain and defend interview techniques in court.
