The City of Des Moines recently approved $1,480 for Robert Kraft, fleet services operation manager, to attend the RTA annual user’s conference in Las Vegas, Nev., from March 9 to 12. The conference is a combination of training classes, group sessions, open forum discussions, reviews of newly released features and previews of upcoming software enhancements. The council also approved $9,000 for Joanne Pollack, captain, to attend the Senior Management Institute of Police from June 6 to 14 in Boston, Mass. The program’s goal is to give police managers quality education, enhanced awareness of management methods, leadership and executive development. CV
