Dec. 24-27, 7:15 a.m. to 3:10 p.m.
Burglary in the 500 block of Bell Avenue. Upon arrival, officers met with the victim who stated she left town. When she returned, she noticed the garage door, which had previously been shut, was standing open. The victim also observed the suspect(s) made several trips in the unplowed driveway. Upon entering the residence, it appeared the suspect(s) rummaged through the entire house. Numerous items including a Wii game console, Wii games, a Sony DVD player and desktop computer, totaling approximately $1,800, were missing. There are no suspect(s) at this time.
Dec. 24, 6:35 p.m.
Assault causing injury in the 1600 block of Oakland Ave. The victim stated she and her kids were walking to an Asian food store when her ex-boyfriend walked up to her in the parking lot and started harassing her about “getting back together.” When she declined to speak with him, he became angry and grabbed her head and threw her down. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim suffered a small cut and small bruise under her eye. Officers tried contacting the suspect, but the telephone number given to them would not go through.
Dec. 25, 3 p.m.
Assault in the 700 block of 20th Street. The victim asked the suspects for a ride to get booze. After the victim purchased the booze, the suspects hit the victim several times in face and took his vodka. The suspects then forced him out of the vehicle. The victim walked home and called police. Officers were unable to locate the suspects. CV

Name: Carmen Maria Hiracheta-Winkel
The story: Officers were called to a southside bar about a complaint of an alleged drunk customer. When officers arrived, they found the suspect, later identified as Hiracheta-Winkel, inside her vehicle. Officers ordered Hiracheta-Winkel to turn off her vehicle, but she put her vehicle in reverse and accelerated. During the incident, Hiracheta-Winkel struck the officer’s squad car. Hiracheta-Winkel then opened the car door, stepped out and was taken into custody without incident. She then told officers “she had too much to drink.” Hiracheta-Winkel was charged with two counts of assault on a police officer with a weapon, operating while intoxicated third offense and driving while barred.
