Masons to sponsor free Christmas meal
The Masons of Central Iowa will sponsor the 25th Annual Free Christmas Dinner on Friday, Dec. 25 at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center, 519 Park St. The dinner, which runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., is dedicated to Jerry Marsengill, who started the tradition. The dinner aims to provide the homeless, the lonely and the public at large a traditional Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings. Meals are available for home delivery. Climb Iowa to host holiday camp
Climb Iowa will host a three-day camp from Monday, Dec. 28 to Wednesday, Dec. 30. The camp, intended for ages 8 to 14, will consist of learning techniques, playing climbing games and working with others as a team. The camp runs from 10 a.m. to noon. Admission is $70. DART to hold public meetings
