DMACC to host blanket drive
Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Financial Aid Department will have a blanket drive for the Iowa Homeless Youth Centers in Des Moines n Friday, Dec. 18. The department is collecting new twin blankets, twin sheet sets, crib blankets, hats and mittens, non-perishable food items, general hygiene items, soap, lotions and toiletries. Jingle Jog at Gray’s Lake
The National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA) at AIB College of Business will host the Second Annual Jingle Jog Saturday, Dec. 19 at Gray’s Lake, 2102 Fleur Drive. The two or four-mile run/walk around Gray’s Lake begins at 8:30 a.m. All proceeds benefit AIB National Agri-Marketing Association and the Food Bank of Iowa. Registration is $20.
