Botanical Center celebrates 30 years

3XWrestling will host “November Knockout” on Friday, Nov. 20 at the Des Moines Social Club, 1408 Locust St. Bouts begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for kids ages 10 and under and is free for children under age 3. Jolly Holiday Lights burn bright
Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Jolly Holiday Lights will take place from Tuesday, Nov. 24 through Jan. 2, 2010, at Water Works Park, 2201 George Flagg Parkway. Admission is $9 per car or $45 per bus. Purchase tickets at Hy-Vee, Dahl’s, Casey’s or at the event. Catch the Christmas spirit
The Festival of Trees and Lights will take place from Nov. 25 to 29 at the Polk County Convention Complex, 501 Grand Ave. The five-day event, which supports Child Life and the Center for Advocacy and Outreach, will include a festival boutique, book tree, raffle prizes, Santa and more.
