Oct. 23, 9:30-10 p.m.
Burglary in the 1100 block of East Army Post Road. After leaving the Southridge Mall movie theater, the victim and his friends were walking through the parking lot when a group of boys began following them. The victim stated that the suspects ran up behind him and slammed or punched him in the back of the head, causing him to fall forward and hit his head on the ground. The victim stated he was struck multiple times while on the ground. The victim’s cell phone, valued at $300, was taken. Officers were unable to locate the suspects.
Oct. 24, 11:21 p.m.
Assault causing injury in the 1400 block of East 36th Street. Upon arrival, officers met with the victim who stated than an unknown male approached him at a party and punched him once in the face. Later on during the party, the victim asked the suspect why he had punched him. The suspect told him that he punched him because he attacked the suspect’s son a few years ago. The victim’s teeth were knocked out, and he had a swollen jaw. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.
Oct. 26, 4:49 p.m.
Assault causing injuring in the 3700 block of Southwest 13th Street. The victim stated that his brother, the suspect, showed up at his house with a piece of meat. The suspect demanded he give him $25 for the piece, which was worth $32. After the victim refused, the suspect started punching the victim in the face. Officers were unable to locate the suspect. CV

Name: Romel Martin Cabrera
The story: Officers were dispatched to a large party in the 3200 block of Fleming Avenue. While officers were talking with the person in charge of the party, an officer saw an individual down the street, later identified as Cabrera, screaming and trying to hit a group of males and females. An officer approached Cabrera and grabbed him by the right arm, but Cabrera resisted. During the struggle, an additional officer provided assistance, and both officers sprayed Cabrera in the face with pepper spray. Cabrera broke free and ran eastbound on Fleming Avenue where he was later arrested. As officers placed Cabrera in the back of the wagon, he attacked another prisoner that officers were transporting. Cabrera was charged with assault on a police officers, interference and disorderly conduct.
