AC/DC has postponed its sold-out Oct. 10 concert at Wells Fargo Arena due to lead singer Brian Johnson undergoing a medical procedure. The rescheduling dates have not been announced as of press time, but all tickets for the Oct. 10 show will be valid for the new date.
Sumpin’ Doo plays the season’s final Function in the Junction concert in Valley Junction on Thursday, Oct. 1 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The concert is part of the Junction’s “Rally in the Valley” event. Admission is free.
A Day to Remember, Parkway Drive, In Fear and Faith and I See Stars perform Thursday, Oct. 1 at the Val Air Ballroom in West Des Moines at 6 p.m. for an all-ages show. Tickets are $15.
Erin McCarley and Landon Pigg play Thursday, Oct. 1 at the Vaudeville Mews at 6 p.m. for an all-ages show. Tickets are $15. McCarley is on tour supporting her new album, “Love, Save the Empty,” of which the title track was featured in the movie “He’s Just Not That Into You.”
Chicago Rick’s Work Release Party, a weekly affair held on Fridays from the fall to spring, resumes Friday, Oct. 2 at Blues on Grand. Doors open at 4 p.m. Music by Sumpin’ Doo at 5 p.m. and free food by Jesse James. Admission is $4. … In other BOG news, the club was closed Sept. 17 while cast (including Abigail Breslin) and crew of the upcoming movie “Janie Jones” filmed a scene there.
